Galaxy Note 7.

The device making lot of buzz since the rumours started about the device and it is finally released by Samsung. From the specification prospective Note 7 will be the powerful Note device till date but when compared to S7 edge there is nothing new about the device except the S-Pen.

Design:

When it comes to design Note 7 will be the beautiful Note series phone. The devise comes with dual curved screen and back side of the device also curved and it makes the device comfortable to hold. Both the curves meets at aluminium frame on the sides of the device. Note 7 is made from High Quality plastic material on the back side and both front and back off the device protected by Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Ways about 169g.

When it comes to display nobody can beat Samsung’s displays. Note 7 comes with gorgeous 5.7” Super AMOLED qHD display with 518 ppi and protected with Gorilla Glass 5.The display is slightly curved on both sides but not as much as S7 edge.

The device is capable of 4K video recording and you can also record videos in HDR mode. The front facing camera unit will be 5MP and the display will be bright to its maximum level while taking Selfie.

Iris scanner:

It is introduced in the mobile device for the first time in Note 7. It will do lot more things than unlocking the device it can be used in Samsung pay as a replacement to the Fingerprint reader. There is a security folder on the device where you can hide all your content like pictures, apps and important notes etc.

Chipset:

Samsung released Note 7 with two variants of chipsets snapdragon 820 for US and Exynos 8890 for Global Markets.

There is no upgrades in the RAM section Note 7 comes with 4GB of RAM same as the previous Note 5. This is a big disappointment because a rumour said that that there may be a 128GB version with 6GB RAM.

Note 7 offers wide range of connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB 3.1. Disappointingly there is no IR blaster.

Battery:

Note 7 comes with 3500mAH Non-removable battery which is a big bump up when compared to Note 5. It has several battery saving modes when you activate them it will give you how much time left before it going to completely discharge. It offers Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 which can charge Note 7 up to 71% within 30 minutes. Wireless charging also available but only for some selected markets.

S-Pen:

Samsung upgraded S-Pen in so many ways in Note 7. S-pen also have IP68 certification and the best part is you can write notes on Note 7 while it is under water or rain drops falling on it. When compared to Note 5s S-Pen length of the pen is 2.6mm shorter and the tip is 0.7mm it is much thinner than Note 5s tip which is 1.6mm. Note 7 S-Pen recognizes 4,096 different pressure levels. Some more features like Magnify which magnifies some area around S-Pen when it touches the display and you can make your own gifs up to 20sec by any video that is playing on the device display.

Samsung offering only 4 colours to Note 7 those are Blue Coral, Gold, Silver and Black. Except the black one other devices offers slightly gold coloured aluminium edges and it gives a premium look to the device.

Conclusion:

When it compared to Note series it is powerful and offers lot more features than the previous Note phones. But when we compare it with Galaxy S7 edge there is nothing new here it carry’s same specifications as S7 edge except iris scanner, S-Pen and USB Type-C. From our point of view if you want to upgrade from S7 edge blindly keep it with you and don’t think of an upgrade.

If you want to upgrade from Note 5 there are sum interesting features added to Note so the choice is yours that it worth upgrading or not.
